What could be done if the best before date of silicon compound “Silicon 300/60” expires? What negative sides of the product might appear, if it is used in production?

You have to make sure, that the best before date has really expired. Usually, even after the expiration of the warranty period the product is processed without any problems, although the Producer is not responsible for the physical and chemical figures if it was used after the expiry date, even if it was processed following our recommendations. Nevertheless, if you decided to use it, try to «refresh» the rubber compound on rollers and check the passport figures with lab tests.

During collector assembly and armature winding of direct-current electric machines of train stock, technological cavities are appearing, which require pressure-sealing in order to avoid congestion of atmospheric and exploitation soiling in form of condensed moisture, carbon dust, oil, etc. What material could be used matching following requirements: good adhesion to metal and insulation, persistence to crack formation when exposed to variable temperatures, sufficient electric durability, water-resistance and good maintainability?
As sealing compounds for equipment sealing could be used following: «VGO» and «VIKSINT».

What does identification mark of LETSAR tape mean?

There are 2 types of LETSAR:
— Type «K» — reddish tape, used in temperature interval from minus 50 to plus 250оС, and for a short run could be exposed up to plus 300оС.
— Type «B» — white colored tape, intended for temperature interval of minus 50 to plus 200 оС
And for a short run up to plus 250 оС.
